Quick Detection of the Coronavirus with „BIOCREDIT“
The white box declares in green: „One Step Rapid Test. Covid-19 Ag.“
Such boxes could easily find their way from Seoul to Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler soon to help combat the coronavirus pandemic across Germany and Europe. This effort is done by Volker and Uta Schwichtenberg, who acquired the distribution right for the rapid test for Germany and Europe.
Each box contains 20 standard test kits. Within minutes, such a kit informs the test person whether or not he or she is infected by the virus. For this special purpose, only a smear obtained from the nasal mucosa must be taken with a cotton swab.
„BIOCREDIT“ is the most reliable, fastest, simplest and most cost-effective coronavirus test kit worldwide, according to Uta and Volker Schwichtenberg at their premises in the industrial area at Christine-Demmer-Strasse 7 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. Since 2015, the couple, one a lawyer, the other a business economist, have been running Mönch Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, a global leader in defence-related periodika – in the third generation. Now, fully independent from the publishing business, they have established Medex GmbH, a sales company aimed at delivering the rapid test kits to a steadily increasing demand in Germany and Europe, with the manufacturer located in South Korea.
Acting as equal managing directors of the newly founded Medex sales company, the two publishers are keen to introduce the product in Germany.
„BIOCREDIT“ provides adequate evidence whether or not a test person is infected with the novel coronavirus – some eight minutes after the smear has been obtained from a person’s nasal mucosa.
„The whole thing looks a bit like a pregnancy test,“ confirmed Volker Schwichtenberg. „BIOCREDIT’s“ hit accuracy is more than 98 percent. And this is exactly what typifies the product when compared with other products in the market, according to Uta and Volker Schwichtenberg. „Bio Sensor“ has undergone all the necessary certification procedures, and is both TÜV- and CE-certified; it is a globally patented product.
„BIOCREDIT“ was first presented to Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn. Berlin responded with the following: Decision-making is no longer undertaken in Berlin; instead, the Federal States decide under their own responsibility.
„The federal government is actually granting health insurances €50.50 per test, and we are orientating ourselves on this scale. Depending on the volume of the purchases, we can offer it for well under €50,“ Uta and Volker Schwichtenberg explained. Both are at the very beginning of their sales activities, however, not any test person can utilise the test kit. Medical personnel should do this.
Since the very beginning oft he coronavirus pandemic, the „BIOCREDIT“ test kits have been successfully utilised in South Korea; the country is known to have mastered the crisis well, including a high test rate. „BIOCREDIT“ can be delivered in large quantities if required.
„The manufacturing capacity allows deliveries of 1 million units per month.“ The logistics are affordable; there is a storage hall with 250 pallet spaces in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.
„BIOCREDIT“ is a quick test on Sars-CoV-2 antigens
In addition to antibody tests, there are also rapid tests for Sars-CoV-2 antigens. As such, „BIOCREDIT“ is a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) quick test. That can be used to detect the genetic material of the virus.
